I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to work with the architect Robert Nichols on his design award-winning residence. The contemporary style and design of the house in Takoma Park, Maryland provides an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable living space. It was a truly inspirational and eye-opening experience which taught me much about the methods and materials he used in this innovative masterpiece.

Robert and his partners hired me as a full-time employee during my time as a student at Boston Architectural College. It was my first real design & drafting position. Robert introduced me to single-family residential design and guided me while I cut my teeth on accessible design projects for government buildings. I carry the knowledge I obtained during this time with me today. When I look back, I appreciate the trust that was extended to me, and I’m happy to have an opportunity to express it now. Robert played a positive role in my early professional development.

Nichols Designs Associates worked with the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington on its low vision learning center. Robert Nichols helped us to make great use of a small amount of space. Thank you!

We were lucky to have Robert Nichols plan an ADA-compliant door entry system for our condominium building. Nichols knew the ADA specs (almost from memory), drew up our architectural design and recommended hardware and contractor options…always on time and and very professional. The system is up-and-running and we are happy customers.
